Before & Afters
Roynon Library
In 2018 the Roynon Library exterior was transformed when Roynon Beautification added two vine-covered arbors with benches and a painted mural covering the entire exterior. Stone pavers and a big shade tree completed the overall feeling of welcome.
Fun note: Roynon’s current librarian, Jennifer McCartney, is also a member of Roynon Beautification and an artist. She was a key contributor to the beautiful mural.

Multipurpose Room
Our school multipurpose room is the busiest place on campus! It provides so many important functions, yet it looked like a brick bunker. New trees and shrubbery softened the exterior and provide the wonderful scent of jasmine blooming in the springtime.
Classrooms along E Street
The classrooms along E Street were functional, but looked very institutional and boring. Roynon Beautification planted trees, grass, and colorful shrubs. Curving sidewalks and benches were added to provide attractive entry areas to the classrooms and places for families to gather before and after school.
Classrooms along 8th Street
Classrooms along 8th Street were enhanced when trees and shrubbery were planted. New sidewalks and curving benches were added to give students a shaded place to wait and families and friends an inviting place to gather before and after school.
School Fencing
Roynon School covers two city blocks and in 2001 most of that area was surrounded by rusty, bent chain link fencing. Roynon Beautification planted Purple Trumpet Vines along all of the fencing, creating a colorful border and hiding the old ugly chain link.
Irrigation and Shrubbery Added
In 2001 Roynon School had no irrigation systems to keep the grass watered. Students and staff were greeted with dead lawns each year when school began.
Roynon Beautification installed irrigation all along the front of the school buildings and between the classrooms. When colorful shrubbery was added our school took on a completely new look.

E Street Entrance
This was the campus entry area along E Street in 2001. At that time the most prominent feature was an electrical enclosure surrounded by a chain link cage. New shrubbery, curving sidewalks and benches have transformed the entry into a beautiful, welcoming place for students and their families to enter our school.
